Eva Longoria
A new season of fall TV is here and with it comes a cast of fresh-faced starlets seeking primetime fame. Which of these beguiling thespians has what it takes to be queen of the network mountain? We threw back our finely layered hair, hiked up our capri pants and asked our crystal Search box for an answer. Evangeline Lilly, star of ABC's Lost has certainly made an impression among watchers of her island adventure. The 20-something pixie plays a fugitive with a mysterious past and her "talents" have made her a big hit with the fellas -- searches on Ms. Lilly are up 459% this month. Yes sir, there뭩 nothing like a dangerous woman with supermodel looks to send men scrambling to their computers. Also making waves is Eva Longoria of Desperate Housewives. The brunette stunner with the come hither stare has seen her stock rise an astounding 790% this month. How does ABC go 10 years without a hit and then suddenly have two? Perhaps the long-suffering network has finally learned that age-old showbiz secret -- hotties come with a built-in audience while Jim Belushi does not. Now we뭗 be remiss if we didn뭪 bring up the teen constituency. While searches on Smallville's Erica Durance are down a surprising 20% this month, interest in The O.C.'s Mischa Barton and Rachel Bilson (+19%) is going strong and should continue to rise. A hearty salute to this season's network babes -- helping to make primetime a little less painful.
