Reese Witherspoon has become the highest paid actress in Hollywood, surpassing Julia Roberts, IMDb.com reports.

The Walk the Line star will reportedly earn US$29mil for upcoming horror flick Our Family Trouble.

Roberts held the record at US$24mil, a sum that was paid to the 38-year-old for Mona Lisa Smile.

Twenty-nine year old Witherspoon is widely tipped to win the Best Actress award for playing June Carter Cash (Walk the Line) at Sunday’s Academy Awards ceremony.

여배우 리즈 위더스푼이 줄리아 로버츠를 제치고 할리우드 여배우 중 사상 최고액의 출연료를 받게 됐다고 현지 매체들이 28일(현지 시각) 일제히 보도했다.

이에 따르면 올해 29세인 위더스푼은 최근 차기작 ‘우리 가족의 문제’(Our Family Trouble)의 출연료로 2900만달러(약 282억원)를 받을 예정이라는 것. 이는 지금까지 줄리아 로버츠가 ‘모나리자’에 출연하면서 받았던 2400만달러보다 무려 500만달러가 많은 액수다.

위더스푼은 올해 아카데미상 여우주연상 후보에도 올라 가장 유력한 수상 후보로 꼽히고 있다.
